Q: I recently heard in the news that ANERT is helping with the establishment of around 6500 bio gas plants in the city. Can someone elaborate on the same.

Abdul Razak, an entrepreneur who runs an agency approved by the Anert for installing biogas plants said that the modified scheme envisaged uniformity of plant structure. The plants were prepared as per drawings prepared by the Anert and would have lesser chances of failure.
Portable biogas plants are available in two categories — 0.75 cubic metre and 1 cubic metre — are included in the scheme. The cost involved will be approximately Rs.14,000 and Rs.17,500 respectively, apart from transportation charges and initial expenses at the demonstration stage.
