but as the process is taking so much of time, just 1,500 applications were verified in Hyderabad district. But officials are confident that all the applications will be verified by March end.

Officials are publicising about verification team’s visit to a locality well in advance to make sure that applicants stay at home. Each team consists of a surveyor and two revenue department employees.

3
all the family members of the applicants have to be photographed which is another problem. Photocopies of all the relevant documents are needed but in most of the cases they will not be available on spot. As a result for verification of each application it is taking at least an hour
Sumanth Yadav

4
The verification team is actually having trouble doing the verification process, like in finding the address of construction, absence of the applicant or family members, non-availability of related documents, litigations, etc. As a result verification process is being delayed.

the district administration has not received as many applications as initially expected under GO 59, the Collector informed that 395 applications were received accruing Rs. 14.4 crore in revenue so far. Maximum number of applications under GO 58 and 59 were collected in Shaikpet mandal, which also earned the district half its total collection from GO 59 applications.

There is still time left for the distribution of the pattas. distribution of pattas will not begin before completion of MLC elections to two graduate constituencies in the State, in the last week of March.

8
After the field-level verification, the final approval for pattas is being given by a committee comprising Revenue Divisional Officers (RDO) and Tehsildars of mandals.

The government has informed revenue officials that the deadline will not be extended and steps should be taken to retrieve the encroached lands after issuing notices. Less than 300 and 5,000 applications were received in Hyderabad and RR districts respectively, under GO 59, which is the 'payment category' wherein owners need to pay registration charges as per prevailing market rates for plots above 125 sq.yards.

13,000 applications of the 64,000 received under GO 58, have been verified. Verification has been completed in nine of the 16 mandals in the district, and in remaining mandals it will be completed by March 10.

The Hyderabad district administration has begun finalising applications following verification, for regularisation of encroached government lands smaller than 125 square yards for BPL families, and the state government has initiated steps to issue notices to property owners who have failed to submit the applications.

There was news recently which said that the date for the appilcation for the and regularisation will be extended, but that is not true. Those in possession of government lands to apply for regularisation before Feb 28. If you fail to do so. then the government will demolition the structures, if any, constructed on the said lands. The last date for applications for regularisations under GO 59 will not be extended,

Verification has been completed in 9 mandals and is nearing completion in six other mandals. Allocation of pattas is expected to commence in March.

Of the unobjectionable applications (24,000) received in Hyderabad district, the administration has completed verification of some 6,000 applications. The process has assumed pace in the last two days as additional staff were allotted to complete verification by February 20
Praneeth Kumar

15
Hey, but I have heard differently. the Ranga Reddy district administration is not set to consider such applications, The applications which Hyderabad district has categorised as ‘objectionable’ are to be rejected outright as they are at variance with the GO
Tinku Patel

16
Bottom line is, following compliance checking with GO 58 guidelines, the district administration will send proposals for each objectionable application to the government, which will take the final call in the cases that have been termed objectionable cases
Bharath Konda

17
Right now, unobjectionable applications are currently being verified. The objectionable ones will not be rejected outright, but will be processed after the government frames instructions for doing so, and then the verdict will be given

But if the land is under a non-State government entity, negotiation and compensation has to be discussed and if non-State entities agrees to part with their lands. As all of this process is time consuming, the state has put this on hold for now.

Even in cases where ownership of land is with the State government and controlled by one of its departments, modalities for land transfer to Revenue Department from various departments have to be worked out.

All of these encroachments are said to exist on endowment, Wakf, Secunderabad Cantonment, defence and even on airport lands, and hence cannot be readily regularised even if the applications are from BPL families. All this is controversial land, that is why this problem has occured.
Ramakrishna

21
This is very much true. About two-thirds of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) households who have applied for regularisation of land in Hyderabad district may not get pattas next month, when the government begins disbursal of the land regularisation.
Abdul Zafar

How far has the verification of the land regularisation come to? What exactly is the process?
Madhu Karanth,  Hyderabad
4th March 2015

22
Yes, this is because the district administration received 68,000 applications for regularisation of encroachments measuring smaller than 125 square yards as per GO 58. Nearly 44,000 of those applications were categorised ‘objectionable’ on scrutiny, meaning they cannot be processed right away. So all the application that fall under this category will not be getting the pattas.
Syed Ali Khan
