But I tell you where the problem is. The GHMC is not very god at maintaining communications with other agencies for such works. So we will have to find out how this will pan out. Let's see how that goes.
"HMR are going to ensure that the areas outside the Nagole and Uppal stations have world-class facilities. Areas around other stations too will be done up after the works are complete. March 10 is our deadline and we are working towards it.
"
I have heard that the HMR and GHMC have been directed by chief secretary Rajiv Sharma to ensure that the works are carried out at speed at these locations, as the corridor has to be inaugurated sometime by March 21.
But this can't just be done by the metro board alone as the GHMC must co ordinate with the HMRC officials on this to make sure that this work is right and are carried out according to the schedule.
The government has asked the HMRC people has suggested that they take up work on priority basis and the first among these will be the Uppal to Mettuguda stretch where they are supposed to work on the service roads.
Yes. This is great news. So the state government has asked the metro authorities to improve the condition of the roads by tarring them and work on the pavements on roads where the metro works are completed and make the roads accessible.
You know the state of roads ever since the metro construction started has been unbearable. I mean the roads are all dusty and commuting is really bad which is why the news from the state government to get the roads built properly is a great one.
