They are also channelizing natural light and wind to get maximum daylight and reducing the use of air conditioners, fans and artificial lights during the day, installing solar panels and implementing water conservation methods are also being followed. Merging natural surroundings like water bodies and plants with seating and working areas gives a feeling of being close to nature.

Absolutely right,
Using naturally available light, not disturbing the existing vegetation and educating clients regarding this are also being practised. Conserving the original landscape often produces more challenges as the design has to revolve around it.

Do you know that the construction material may reduce the carbon footprint as well as use embodied energy. Naturally available material can also be used on site as reusing and recycling materials have a positive impact on the environment.

As per City-based architect Dhananjay Shinde, orientation structure and location of various activities are also rearranged to facilitate minimum heat gain and ensure proper light and ventilation. This reduces the operational energy consumed in a building.

Over and above, PPC cement, which is a blend of cement and fly ash, is also being used increasingly as an alternative to traditional red bricks. This helps reduce the load on the building and is also cheaper. Such methods help to keep the temperature inside the structure under control.

Yes, As per architects, they are awareness regarding environmental concerns while constructing in commercial and residential spaces has increased, residents have shown willingness to build their homes using such concepts. They are using minimum and natural materials for construction of houses and office spaces.

It also includes making optimum use of natural light and merging natural surroundings with working spaces. It could include setting up plants and bird feeders and constructing bathroom lawns. There is growing awareness regarding sustainable and green architecture, which has resulted in people opting for climatology-based architectural planning.
