Hey. This is fresh news. There is a full-fledged budget for the new state now, Telangana government proposed a total expenditure of Rs 1,15,689 crore, including non-plan expenditure of Rs 63,306 crore for 2015-16.

Yeah, the Corporation is doing over time to collect the required tax for this fiscal year. All senior officers in the 18 circles are working extra time to see to it that defaulters pay up and are driving the field officers to go the extra mile. The corporation wants to beat its own record of collecting Rs 1,000 crore last year. The target for 2014-15 is Rs 1,500 crore.

There is no instruction from the government to hike property tax. Even with regard to VAT, the government is trying to plug loopholes and is trying to cover uncovered areas in the city.

Hey, No. There is no hike in the property tax in the city of Hyderabad according to the government. The government has not issued any instructions to hike property tax in GHMC limits and authorities have been only undertaking reassessment of nursing homes.

Hey, is there no increase in the VAT as well?
