Kochi metro will be ready by 2017 and we will be taking up Pune, Lucknow, Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam .The coaches for the 630 crore Kochi metro rail project are expected to be delivered by early 2016. Alstom, which currently supplies coaches to the metro rail projects in Kochi and Chennai, is eyeing these upcoming projects, said Dominique Pouliquen, president of Alstom China & senior vice president of Alstom Transport Asia Pacific.

an investment of about 1,64,900 crore has passed bu govt which include new metro rail projects in Pune, Lucknow, Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam and Ahmedabad. The existing metro rail projects in Delhi and Bangalore will also be expanded.

hi kumar, it is true that we have to increase public transport services for passenger give more of developing infrastructure as a whole. In this regards govt. has announced the increasing number of metro link in 6 more cities including increasing the expansion of delhi and bangalore metro line.
