Hi Keshav,
The rentals in the past two years in Powai have steadily grown and continue to grow. Hence, if you are a house owner who wants to rent out your apartment or a tenant looking for a good locality to stay for rent, Powai is an area you must check out.

Andheri SEEPZ is just about 5 km away from the area while Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) is about 16.5 km away from the locality.

Hi Kaushik,
Powai has a phenomenal road connectivity to different parts of the city, Mumbai. A percentage of the important road that give network include Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) and LBS (Lal Bahadur Shastri) Marg. The Eastern Express Highway (EEH), which interfaces the eastern suburbs is in vicinity to Powai. There are regular transport services inside the locality and in addition to different parts of Mumbai. There are also a few auto-rickshaws and taxis accessible for transport within the suburb.

The suburb does not have a suburban railway station yet the nearest station is the Kanjurmarg railway station which is on the central main line and at a distance of 3.5 km from Powai. Locality does not have a monorail or a metro either. However, the closest planned metro stations are in Ghatkopar, Marol and Saki Naka – all pretty much 5 km far from the suburb. The Mumbai International Airport is only 5 km far from Powai.

When a focal town, Powai has developed significantly as one of Mumbai's most luxurious residential and commercial hubs. The rural area has a completely developed civic and social infrastructure. Powai has a few business and business zones. Kensington SEZ is an prominent IT/ITeS SEZ in the territory, which houses a few international and national organizations. A percentage of the major establishment in Powai include Deloitte, CRISIL and Bayer. L&T too has a manufacturing plant in Powai. Andheri SEEPZ is just around 5 km far from the area while Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) is around 16.5 km away.

Powai has a few educational establishments including IIT Bombay and National Institute of Industrial Engineering. Powai has a few shopping centers, a dance academy, mega stores and Hospitals.
