Hi Kaushik, The cost of work on the Dholera project is estimated to be around Rs.2784.83 crore while work at the Shendra Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA) in the Shendra region of Maharashtra is estimated to cost Rs.1533.45 crore.
Yes, the Ahmedabad-Dhaulera Investment Region in Gujarat, and the Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Park near Aurangabad in Maharashtra, are now in a position to start work on basic infrastructure.
@Kaushik, The Dholera Special Investment Region is about 100 kms from Ahmedabad, and is being developed by the DMIC Development Corporation with Japanese funding of around $4.5 billion.
@Kaushik, DSIR will include roads and services, Phase-I of the ABCD building complex, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant (STP) and common effluent treatment plant (CETP), works to be taken up in SBIA will include road and utility services, rail over bridges (RoBs), STP, CETP and Solid Waste Management (SWM) as well as the district administrative building (DAB) and area landscaping.

The Cabinet also approved a pact on coastal shipping between India and Bangladesh to carry out coastal movement of goods between the two countries. Exim trade between India and Bangladesh would be benefited by way of reduction in freight charges.

A cabinet panel has approved on May 30 for building trunk infrastructure for two investment regions along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor for Gujarat's Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) and Maharashtra's Shendra Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA).
