@ Sadashiva,

Hi Guys,
As per sources, Mr Naidu said that for the first time in India, the cities are being selected depend upon competition under an urban development mission. As per Mr Naidu the Prime Minister wants these cities to act as light houses for others to follow in due form for ensuring best quality of urban life.
@ Sadasiva,
Mr Naidu declared that ministry has given time up to 15th December 2015 to urban local bodies to present their Smart City Plans (city level), which will then be analyzed in the 2nd stage of the City Challenge Competition for selecting the 1st batch of 20 cities as per rankings for financing through out this financial year.
Hi Guys,
As per the current news, Union Urban Development minister M Venkaiah Naidu said that the Smart City project is a laborious as well as challenging work. It is troublesome however doable. Real Estate Regulation Bill, which has gotten the gesture from the Parliament Select Committee will be proposed to the Cabinet shortly and it could be moved in the following session of Parliament.
Hey Baldeeep,
Those people should be responsible for this, who ran this place (authorities). Center, gung-ho about making brilliant, smart cities, has never truly characterized what it is that combine to form one. Yet, unmistakably we can surrender to what should. It feels like construction work, infrastructure development, road extension are not going to stop at all. These things are going to make Gurgaon, such a place where work constantly consistent
Definitely, it's not requesting that an excessive amount of expect a working power grid, and a public-transport system that flawlessly connects the old and new cities. Streetlights that are turned on at night and turned off in the daylight. Sewers as well as the drain canals that don't deform after every flood.
The state government's repulse to Gurgaon may wake the city authorities up from their sleep. A lot has been invested in developing a Singapore (a Manhattan?) out of these huge acres of land on Delhi's southwestern edges, thus numerous individuals have spent lifetime reserve funds in making this city their dream home, that it would be a shameful wasting of all that cash & their hope.
See, why Gurgaon will be a smart city? What authorities have done for this location? Same old same issues have to face everyday. It is unable to drive on road surface after rain. We were unable to see the road , it covers with rain water. Few minutes trip will take a long time to cover. How is traffic here? Think about it ... Yeah it these days HUDA has taken few steps to improve the infrastructure. But work in progress.
It is like development authorities took many initiatives to make a beautiful smart city. But still these initiatives failed to make Gurgaon a smart city. We all hoped that these infrastructure development as well as road extension will make this city ,a number one smart city. But we forgot our daily issues. Now I hope authorities are going to take care of it. But sadly Gurgaon is no longer in smart city list.
Hey Guys, I came across the news that Gurgaon will not become smart city due to some civic issues. This is unbelievable. Kindly discuss about it. Thanks
Hi Samar, Indeed it is a shocking news. We all know why Gurgaon is a most sort after location for investment as well as end use, but because of civic issues & poor governance now it is out of the list. As per news faridabad & Karnal are now in the smart city list. The main reason is continuous infrastructure issue in Gurgaon.
@ Samar, Infrastructure developemnt is like development of city. It was expected that infrastructure development will designate Gurgaon to be one of the smart city in Haryana. But you see , opposite unexpected thing happened. It seems like this place is neither a place for worth living. Whose fault is it? Who is responsible for this?
Currently, the main three openings are gained by Karnal, which has 90 points, Faridabad has 87.5 points, and Gurgaon has 85 points. This smart city competition was extremely intense. Gurgaon will need to demonstrate its case in some exceptional way. So that it will become a smart city. Otherwise the Karnal will steal the dream.
The challenge is to become smart city & to compete for the funding as per the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aspiring project. The top 20 cities will get benefited under the companies act of 2013. These cities will have board of directors, special purpose vehicle, CEO & other members. Urban development ministry will provide the guidelines for implementation & execution of project.
The significant motivation behind why Faridabad has scored best is that Gurgaon unqualified for Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). From the very beginning, Gurgaon has minimal political impact in the state. That is the reason it doesn't even use any money of the revenue it creates for the state for its own Development.
As per sources, Gurgaon may not be qualified in this competition. It has been noticed that property tax collection by MCG was extremely poor in past couple of years. In this condition, it seems very impossible for Gurgaon to qualify in the completion. Within 2weeks , Haryana Govt will announce the final result of this smart city competition.
According to news, Ambala as well as Panchkula have been terminated from the smart city competition as these cities did not meet the criteria. Like job interview, each cities were interviewed. Sonipat was interviewed for 5mins, but Panipat was interviewed for 15mins. The interview questions are different from city to city, as every city has its unique strengths.
As per Gurgaon official , Gurgaon had a very decent hearing. Officials are still expecting that Gurgaon will get selected as it is very rich in IT as well as corporate Hub. So Gurgaon may have the special consideration from authorities.
Hey Guys, According to latest news, Gurgaon may not be smart city due to some civic issues and very poor local governance. But everybody knows that Gurgaon is a top location in Haryana , generating huge revenue by real estate projects. It is really shocking. Kindly comment .
Yes when I heard that Gurgaon will not become smart city, I was stunned. According to news, 8 municipal corporations from over the state introduced their case before team of state and center officials directed by Haryana's chief secretary Mr Deepinder Singh Dhesi.
Soniapt, Karnal, Palwal, Hisar, Panipat, Yamuna Nagar as well as Rohtak are also participants. Every corporation has presented a power point presentation to satisfy & gain the confidence of Mr Dhesi. So that they will be considered among the two cities of Haryana.
"Three cities from Haryana - Gurgaon, Faridabad and Sonepat - are likely to figure in the smart city scheme list. Govt. is planning to give geo-spatial data project to any independent company. You can get the detail information from here -- http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/gurgaon/Haryana-plans-services-data-hub-in-first-step-to-build-smart-cities/articleshow/46669771.cms I hope this will help you out.
@ Mr Baldeep, As per latest news, Mr Vivek Kalia also said that, authority need as much possible citizens to taken an interest in this exercise. MCG is anticipating to get elected in the first stage and despite the Smart City proposition, MCG is keen on executing arrangements with a manageable vision for fate of this city.
Hi Guys, I came to know from news that, among essential qualification conditions in the smart city challenge are e newsletter, progress as per the swachh Bharat program, timely payment of salaries, am information & grievance redress mechanism as well as auditing of accounts. As per residents' group's assessment, Gurgaon scored very badly on all above said polls.
According to Councilor Nisha Singh, who went to the meeting on Saturday said that, it seems to be very nearly impossible for Gurgaon to pass in the first stage. Solid waste management as well as Sanitation work are huge zones of concern. Gurgaon's solitary treatment plant in Bandhwari is not working nearly 2 years from now.
According to news, Councilor Nisha Singh specified that, the main motivation behind why it may qualify, in the event that it does, will be due to the reason that the way that it generate the most extreme revenue in the whole state. However, its a sad thing that the MCG is unequipped for even verifying that streetlights are still in working condition.
@ Mr Baldeep,
According to different sources, Mr Vivek Kalia the joint commissioner of MCG , who led the meeting, said further such meetings would be conducted, including all the 35 councilors of state. The MCG will have a House meeting in this week keeping in mind the aim to pass a decision/verdict in such manner.
Hey Mr Baldeep, According to sources, the evaluation of the city's performance on a portion of the major key parameters that Smart City applicant need to satisfy was finished by Gurgaon Governance Group, a residents association, which convey its findings to sources. Gurgaon need to fulfill some terms & conditions to become smart city.
Hi Baldeep Singh, As per latest news, arrangements to nominate Gurgaon for the Center's Smart City project started vigorously on Saturday as the MCG met residents for a meeting to generate new ideas even as an evaluation of the city's achievements on a portion of the qualification parameters drew a unsatisfactory picture.
@ Baldeep, As indicated by recent news, Haryana can recommend two cities to be smart city and the MCG is confident that Gurgaon will be among them. Still it has hardly 10 days left to get ready and present its case as the nominations must be presented to the state government by the 15th of July.
