Don't forget about that the Panvel Junction is the terminating station for the Mumbai suburban railways Harbour Line. There is a planned Navi Mumbai metro corridor from Vashi to Panvel. The upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport is coming up in the Kopar-Panvel area. Besides buses and trains, one can take auto-rickshaws for local transport.
Hi Kunal, I heard a lot about the locality's planned infrastructure. What are those upcoming infrastructure which will change the shape of the locality in the Mumbai real estate markets in the coming days?
Well Rajiv,
Upcoming infrastructure:- 1) Navi Mumbai International Airport is coming up here. Land acquisition is underway. 2) Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL) is a proposed sea link between Nhava Sheva and Sewri, 3) Proposed Navi Mumbai Metro line from Vashi to Panvel. The testing is expected in Dec-2016, 4) Proposed education and IT hub in New Panvel, 5) Proposed Reliance SEZ and 6) proposed Panvel-CST elevated train corridor are among few.
According to me the area is becoming popular particularly among the lower and middle income class home buyers due to its affordable property prices. Keeping in mind the upcoming airport and a number of planned infrastructure plan, one can expect the area to be one of the most demanding real estate destinations in MMR.
@Arup,
Buying an apartment in Mumbai in an affordable range is now a difficult job, with property prices touching the sky high day-by-day. But at the same time, there are few localities in MMR, which offer affordable homes. Panvel in Navi Mumbai, is one such locality. Not only does it offer housing in the affordable budget, yet it is also very well connected to key areas in MMR such as Sion, Mankhurd, Vashi and CBD Belapur.
A agree with you Sankalp.
Panvel and New Panvel are the biggest and most populated area in Raigad district. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) serves the local development authority of the region. The locality is expected to be the next prime locality in MMR because of the upcoming international airport. It's good connectivity forces the Panvel's growth other than affordability.
Right Arup, Some of the major highways providing connectivity to Panvel include NH-4, NH-4B, NH-17, Mumbai- Pune Expressway and Sion-Panvel Expressway. Sion-Panvel Expressway connects the area to the Mumbai International Airport.
Apart from Panvel's connectivity, locality's transport is also good. It has regular Panvel Municipal Council and NMMT run buses to Bhiwandi, Thane, Badlapur, Kalyan, Dombivli, Dadar and Uran. There are two main bus stands in the area: ST stand and NMMT stand.
Hi Mansoor, Panvel is one of the fastest growing realty markets in Navi Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), due to many factors. While excellent connectivity and the upcoming international airport play a key role in giving a boost to the areas realty growth, an increasing need for affordable housing in MMR has been another driving factor behind the realty growth of this area.
