Q: Government has set up a committee to push innovative collaboration joint ventures involving investment of over 2000 crore with a view to create jobs, encourage exports and increase the prospective of revenue to the fund.

The selected committee would analyze the proposal with regard to its appeal in public interest, having regard to employment generation and revenue generation for Government, import reduction, export promotion and similar social/economic ideas.

The committee's instructions would be to accelerate the innovation joint ventures, involving joint venture of over 2000 crore. It will also be taking care of projects involving lower investments if significant social, economic or security benefits are better than expected.
Apart from that selected committee will meet every fortnight and will advice the state governments, FIPB and other agencies to change the concept into a implementable project.
It is came to know that the authorized committee for Innovative Collaborations will be based on the concept followed in United States and Australia which have created procedures to allow Govt. to promote and make practical use of innovative ideas and projects.
