2. Low rate of Home loan interest
Hello Patel,
Stamp duty is levied by state, it does not depend upon project to project.Stamp Duty is a kind of tax collected by the Government of a state on every document by which any right, title, interest or liability is created, transferred, extended, extinguished or recorded. Stamp duty payable for registration of property is different and varies in various states/cities in India.
Currently, female property owners have to pay stamp duty at 4.9 per cent of the market price of the property or the transaction value, whichever is higher. Men are charged a higher rate of 5.9 per cent. This difference in stamp duty rates is aimed at empowering women and motivating more families to register properties in the name of female family members. Registration fee remains the same for everyone at 1 per cent. also an additional VAT of 3.6 per cent has to be paid in case of new properties.
