Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Inks Dahisar-Andheri Line Agreement
Q: Delhi Metro Railway Corporation has signed an agreement with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to carry out Phase-I of the Dahisar-Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd corridor.
Right Shaina, The Dahisar East-Charkop-DN Nagar Metro line will be constructed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), while the Dahisar East-Andheri East corridor would be implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
And administrative approval was granted for appointment of the DMRC to implement the 18.5km-long Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro II corridor as well as roping it in as interim consultant for the 16.5km-long Dahisar (East) to Andheri (East) corridor.
Phase I of the project, that comprises the Dahisar-DN Nagar stretch of this corridor, is 18.6km long and the process to invite bids for the project are expected to be floated in a month.
