Q: When was the second stretch of the Metro Rail service inaugurated? Which localities and how distance second phase going to cover?

Yes of course, metro is definitely going to benefit the real estate market for at least those areas metro passing through :) :)

According to experts, better connectivity to the airport and property pricing in these areas are expected to see price appreciation of over 45 percent by 2020.

The second stretch of the Metro Rail service was inaugurated on September 21. Chennai Metro phase II covers a distance of 8.6 kms from Chennai International Airport to Meenambakkam, Nanganallur Road, Guindy and Little Mount, besides St Thomas Mount Metro Station.This line will help commuters from Koyambedu reach the airport faster. According to experts, the fast completion of the project will benefit the real estate sector as well.
