Garbage disposal in Chandigarh.
Q: I heard that now garbage is not to be thrown in sehaj safai kendras in Chandigarh now. Then where to dispose it?

Latest Answer: As far as I know the civic body has take the initiative to keep the city more clean and hygienic. According to sources, the garbage will be directly taken to the garbage processing unit and even they are planning to construct new dump yards in many places.

Q: Why was the power supply in sector 17 Chandigarh disconnected although the shop owners had paid the power bill?

Latest Answer: Even though the shop owners paid their bills with a 10 percent plenty for no mistake of theirs the Chandigarh electricity board has put off the power at sector 17. when asked for the reason the EB authorities said that the shopkeepers had not paid their bills on due date due to which they had to shut power.

Failure of automatic traffic system.
Q: Before people were fedup of the manual traffic system so the Chandigarh traffic department thought of implementing automatic traffic system so that there will not be so much of traffic problems also. Now it seems that the people are happy with the manual traffic system.

Latest Answer: It seems that people had to spend more time in the streets and had to stop at multiple points, DND flyway was full of traffic as there was shortage of change after the hike in the rate of the toll. The traffic department said that they have undecided to put the automatic traffic system in permanet basis.

Q: I am a resident of Chandigarh, we are fed up with the parking issues. The people who forcefully park their vehicals in front of the shops and making the lane narrower which cause a lot of problem for the commuters. Will the Municipal Corporation help the residents?

Latest Answer: The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh is taking the initiative to help the people., they lifted all the vehicles with the help of the cranes that was parked illegally in front of the shops . The raid were carried out in sector 7, 21, 28 and Manimijra.

Q: We the residents of Chandigarh are fed up with the manual traffic system. Finally the traffic management have planned to put automatic traffic control. Is the automatic traffic control are on permanent basis?

Latest Answer: The Chandigarh traffic management keeping in mind the long queue of vehicles at all the sides during the peak hour decided to change the traffic system to automatic system. It will be on trail basis and if it runs successfully then the traffic management will take the initiative and the system will be implemented in permanent basis. The system will be changed in the areas like Housing board light point, press light point, railway light point, transport light point, Sector 17.
