Kamshet is a village town in Maval Taluka located in north-western parts of Pune. This locality comes under the jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat. It is a beautiful place and has a number of small villages which are built in the tradition style. The locality has numerous tourist spots such as Shinde Wadi Hills, Kondeshwar Temple, pawna Lake, Bhairi Caves, Bedse Caves etc. It is also famous for paragliding experience. It is located 48.7 km from district headquarters Pune and 102 km from state capital Mumbai. This locality serves as a railhead for many villages such as Bhaja, Uksan and Kamra in the western ghats. Mumbai Pune Expressway passes through the village. Talegaon Dabhade, Vadgaon, Parandwadi, Khadkale, Taje, Karunj etc. are some of the prominent localities situated close to Kamshet. It is 23 km from the twin hill stations of Khandala and Lonavala from Kamshet and is easily accessible by road and rail from Mumbai and Pune. Some of the key residential localities in Kamshet are Krushnarang Skylight, Pioneer Golden Bells Phase-2, Chandrai Orchid, Omega Mantri Eternity Plus, Bhansali Aundh Riviera among others. It is a beautiful hill station in Maharashtra located about 22000 feet above sea level. AH 47 and NH 48 is passing through the centre of the locality.
