Tracing its roots back to 1969, our founder Shri KV Ram, a serial entrepreneur ventured into the housing market by pioneering the concept of ‘Bombay-Style' apartments in the city of Chennai. The concept of holding undivided interest in land was foreign and it soon earned Shri KV Ram a place in the record books. The name ‘Ram' became synonymous with flats or apartments and soon the brand ‘RAMS' emerged.



The diversification to commercial real estate space took place in the 80s with the launch of showroom and office spaces in the city of Chennai.



RAMS is a member of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) and the corporate vision is to promote eco-friendly construction practices for sustainable growth of the industry.

Management:

Rama Chandiramani (Managing Director):

Bringing creativity and able leadership to the table, Mrs.Rama Chandiramani, stands out as one of the dynamic woman entrepreneurs in the industry. Mrs.Rama began her association with RAMS in the early 80s' and has been vital in its transformation into a cost effective player. In an industry inundated with debt and rising input costs, Mrs.Rama through her diligent execution has made RAMS a ‘zero-debt' company. Mrs.Rama holds a Masters Degree in Commerce from Ethiraj College, Chennai.



Chandiramani Chandrasekar (Director – Business Development)
Mr.Chandiramani has played a pivotal role in diversification of RAMS into the group development and commercial real estate segments. Prior to RAMS, he was leading projects in the erst while 20th Century Finance Corporation now part of HDFC Bank. Mr.Chandiramani holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the famed Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and a Bachelors Degree in Science from St Xaviers College.



Balaraman Krishna Iyer (Director – Legal & Compliance):

Along with our founder, Mr.KV Ram, Mr.Balaraman has been the pioneer in establishing best practices around legal documentation and compliance in the industry. His keen acumen for tracing document title history has mitigated litigation risk for RAMS over the last 4 decades.



Vikram Chandiramani (Director – Finance & Operations):

Having worked for ING Direct USA (now part of Capital One) and Bank of Tokyo's Union Bank of California, Vikram brings a strong risk and project management oriented background to RAMS. He has been instrumental in establishing structure around project execution thereby improving project delivery time and is a strong proponent for use of new construction techniques to better quality. Vikram holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Temple University, Philadelphia and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy – Anna University.



Somesh Chandiramani (Director – Sales & Marketing):

Being a rising star in the financial services industry while working in YES Bank and HSBC in Mumbai, Somesh brings his transferrable sales and marketing skills to RAMS. His focus is to better the reach of our projects to potential customers and to establish a stronger marketing campaign for our firm. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy – Anna University.
