Completion of Project

Q: I want to know if anyone has an idea by when will this project be completed. Already there has been a significant delay in the project and there is no communication from builder on likely date of completion

The meeting is on 02.01.2011 at 11 am in the building site.

I understand the meeting is on 2nd Jan 2011. Can i clarify where are we meeting, is it in at the buiding site office at 1100hrs. I am also planing to attend the meeting. I think it is really crucial that most of us able to meet there.

Dear Anirudh, I too own a flat in Regalia. On the issue of service tax, I had sent a reply exactly on the lines mentioned by Suryan and as expected Pasrvnath did not reply. Surely we should all unite against any plan of their plans to make us pay for their folly. I am all with you & others for ensuring that we move in the right track and harness the power of our "collective voice" - it would be great if you could specify the exact time when everybody will assemble on Jan 2.

No. The point regarding payment of Service tax was not raised by anyone. All should attend the meeting of 02.11.2011 at 11 am.

Some of the allottees (not me) have received demand letters which include service tax also. As the delay is on the part of the builder, and, had the builder given possession well within the stipulated time, there was no liability of paying service tax. Therefore,liability to pay service tax legally lies with the builder, not with the allottees. We should write to the builder first. Certainly, the builder will not respond favourably. We shall then approach the consumer court, and certainly, we shall get relief. At least, I am going to do so when I get the demand letter. Unfortunately, I could the meeting on 28-11-2010. Has anybody taken up this point in that meeting?

On 28.11.2010, there was a meeting of owners and the builder representatives. The Builder has promised to handover the all towers by June, 2011. All the owners have decided to meet again at site office on 02.01.2011 to see the progress, to meet with the builder and to decide the next course of possible action against the builder company.

Dear Anirudh, 2-3 months back,Pars. developers had sent a letter informing that the possession is expected in Dec. 2010 and that they will compensate the allitees as per the panelty clause (@Rs.5/- per sq. ft.per month) at the time of last instalment.Any further information be pl. shared.
