Is it true that Bangalore Metro will go live this week?
Q: I heard that Bangalore Metro dream project of residents of Bangalore and Real estate bangalore is going live this week. I have heard a lot of time Bangalore metro saying same. Is it true that Bangalore Metro will go live this week?
It is inaugural function on October 20, 2011 and from October 21 onwards regular Metro train services will start. The trains will stop at Trinity, Halasuru, Indiranagar and Swami Vivekananda Road stations for 30 seconds each and commute to Byappanahalli and MG Road. The Bangalore Metro is Schedule 6 am in each direction at frequency of 15 minutes between 6am and 8am and last service will run at 10pm from both directions. You can buy ticket from Station but smart card sales for metro rides and online tickets have gained momentum.
Thanks Adithya for supporting my opinion and thanks to Ramya too for confirming the day. But do you know where can we get tickets for the Bangalore Metro? Is this a test launch or will the service will be a regular from October 20?
Bangalore metro is directly or indirectly connected to our real estate sector in Bangalore. First thing that benefits is demand for property in or around metro project and second thing is connectivity and convenience and Metro Rail is expected to tackle congestion in the eastern parts of the city which is the gateway to the Information Technology (IT) hub. Therefore what @Adithya said was really correct it is a dream project of residents of Bangalore and Real estate bangalore
The long-awaited Bangalore Metro or Namma Metro was scheduled to go live this year many times such as for Ugadi festival, Ganesh Festival but postponed due to various issues. Now Bangalore Metro which connects Baiyappanahalli to MG road will formally be inaugurated on October 20, 2011. But why did you say dream of Real estate bangalore? Will Real estate sector get any advantage in this metro rail project?
