I want to have a lease-hold property.

Q: I want a property on lease, so that I can avail it to run my business. I want to know for how many maximum days I can hold the lease property. Can I rent/sell this property during this period?

If you want to go for a lease-hold property, it means you would not be the real owner of the property. You can avail the lease period up to 99/999 years. It depends upon you whether you take a short-lease or a long lease. As you are not the real owner of the property, you cannot sell it. You can use it for commercial purpose under the consent of its owner.
