Approached to buy a property.

Q: One of my friend approached me to buy a property in which he was residing from 2001, the power of attorney is in my name but the power of attorney is not registered and just notarized. We did the tenancy to ownership deed with an amount of Rs 1 lakh and he also gave me an unregistered declaration of the balance amount which he had to pay me. But now he is telling that he has not signed any papers and not agreeing to pay the amount. What steps can I take against him?

If you have already registered the tenancy to ownership deed with an amount of Rs 1 lakh, if the balance amount is not mentioned in the Sale deed, then you can hardly do anything.
