Q: I am planning to shift in Bangalore and my office is in Hosur Road but I heard that it is very difficulty to travel from Hosur road to any other parts of the city. Is it true?
Hosur Road stretchs from Vellara Junction, through Koramangala and Silk Board to Attibele and Bommanahalli. It is on the route to major industrial hubs like Electronic City. Most of the residential apartments coming up in Hosur Road are budget housing in the range of Rs 30 to 50 lakh per unit. According to a real estate expert, since the area is still on the developing stage, real estate developers are focusing more on mid segment housing than the luxury segment.
Due to unavailability of vacant lands in the Central Business District (CBD), the real estate developments were shifted to the peripheral areas. Many reputed companies began acquiring land in and around Electronic City which is about 10 kms away from Hosur Road. Hosur Road has good connectivity to downtown city areas. Also, the real estate sector in this area is impacted by the proposed Namma Metro link.
Hosur Road in Bangalore has recently emerged as the hottest property destination as the area has witnessed a large number of real estate developments. If sources are to be believed then the area has seen 17 percent of rise in capital values in January- March 2013.
Hosur Road has started to grow in terms of real estate developments after the growth of Electronic City. Hosur Road is a four to eight lane highway and is a part of the National Highway-7. The area covers villages such as Bommanahalli, Hebbagodi, Singasandra, Chandapura and Attibele.
Hey now Hosur road is no more an outskirt locality in Bangalore. BBMP is planning to build a link road connecting the Bannerghatta Road with Hosur Road. To provide convenience to the residents and commuters of Hosur road, the link road project will soon take its foundation.
