Regarding Katha (A Katha, B Katha, Occupancy/Possession certificate)
Q: I have bought an apartment within BDA limits in Bangalore. It is a 8 floor apartment. I have occupied the apartment 2 years back. It still does not have Katha. While we are trying to apply for the Katha now, we understand that, it is mandatory to have an OC (Occupancy Certificate) to be able to get an A-Katha (Regular Katha). Else, we can only get a B-Katha. Since we do not have the OC for the apartment, is there any way to still get the A Katha for our apartment?
Khata means an account, this Khata is an account of a person who has property in the city. It is an account of assessment of property owners within BBMP jurisdiction.
