Is water shortage acute in and around Marathahalli?

Q: I am seeing lot of water tanks flowing around marathalli area. Is this becuase this area doesn't have kaveri water supply? Please suggest some good/decent localities around Marathahalli

Friends, Thank you for replying. I am planning to buy a flat and a plot at a distance of 1-2 Km from Marathahalli. So looking for some decent and planned layouts by BBMP/BDA.

May be, the whole Bangalore city is suffering from water shortage and they are dependent on water tankers.

Hello Lalit. That's right, Bangalore is suffering from water shortage due to sudden uprise in population.. But I my humble opinion to some areas. Ground water lower than 400ft cannot be used for drinking and washing purposes as the flourides percentage increase beyond that.. So this is applicable to water tankers as well who ship borewelled ground water ... If Kaveri Water is available atleast for drinking it helps in survival :)
