Received letter from DB asking for VAT plus 15% interest.

Q: Received letter from DB asking for VAT plus 15% interest. Is the interest amount is really liable to be paid by the buyer?

But according to the government, buyers have no need to pay VAT for flats that are ready for possession.. what are we supposed to do? Can someone please help?

Many have received such letters.. But payment on Vat is not clear yet. Based on court order they may even charge interest..
