Olympia Opaline: Deed of Indemnity and Power of attorney
Q: Booked a 2BHK in Sapphire-I, My UDS reg is due next week. But before that I had been asked to Sign up Deed of Indemnity in order to increase the service tax and I had to register the Power of Attorney in the name of Olympia for the period of next 10 years. Please let me know is this the common practice, or is it newly introduced. They didn't tell me this while booking the flat.

With a real estate indemnity agreement, one party, usually the buyer, agrees to take full responsibility for a mistake or a problem caused by the builder. What if builder has any negative plans which would end up in huge loss to buyer??
Hi.. I suggest you not to sign indemnity deed so early.. Let the building get completed and you confirm on the quality of construction and the rest.. And I don't know whether POA has to be signed or not..
