Agreement was done after the builder got CC, should I pay Service tax and VAT?

Q: My builder got Completion Certificate and then I purchased flat. The builder got the Completion Certificate on 31st July 2012 and my agreement was done on 26th August..

I want to know whether I am applicable to pay Service Tax and VAT?

How can we confirm whether the building is Ready for possession after completion certificate or Occupation certificate?

Hey Sanket.. I read in an article that if you are buying it on resale then you will not have to pay service tax, but if you are the first buyer, then you will have to pay.. Here is the article link: Amendment in Service Tax for Under Construction Property
