Hey guys, as far as I know it is only the CMDA that has to approve right? I mean within the city limits.. Are you sure that local authority can approve upto 3 floors?

local panchayat hold good for most areas around chennai city . Also banks also giving loans for such indpendent based on the individual

For buildings of Stilt+2 or Ground floor +1 floor, Local authority is authorised to approve.
For and building higher than above , CMDA is the authority to give approval

CMDA is the only authority that approves any project. Without its approval if you take approval from any local authorities and start developing a property then it is illegal.. Few local authorities claim that they too have right to approve, but that is not considered. .

Hi Ilamaran, CMDA is the required approval.. if local bodies have approved that is not counted..
