Q: Hello,
I am buying a flat in Sobha Rose from an existing owner. Current owner does not have A Khata. He is interested in knowing if anyone already has A Khata and is so how can he apply for one?
Regards,
Hitesh
Hi Hitesh, if it is plot then owners will get individual A khatas.. but yours is a n apartment and Khata will be same for all I think.. so there is no need to apply elsewhere.. you can check with other neighbors or builder..
Hi Ranjith, thanks for your response. I think the way it works is builder will have Khata for the land. Then the builder sells individual units to buyers, where the builder also mentions the undivided share of land that each one would get. Also what BBMP does is splits the Khata into individual flat owners and then transfers it to them. I think the issue with Whitefield area is that apartments constructed prior to BBMP taking over CMC would have to pay betterment charges for the Khata to be transferred from Builder to individual flat owners.
