Deputy director-general of Unique Identification Authority of India said that they have issued Aadhaar numbers to over 90% of those who have enrolled for it in Mysore and Tumkur road. In Dharwad, the enrollment process in under way. People who have not got Aadhaar number can check the status online, and if their application is rejected, they can enroll again for Aadhaar card.
Applicant may visit www.uidai.gov.in and then click on ‘Check your Aadhaar status‘ tab and follow a simple procedure. The applicants have to provide details like date, year, time and enrollment ID and key in the verification code to get the status.
Aadhaar card is a unique identity card given for the residents of India. It can be used as an Identity proof for getting a new Gas connection, Ration card, Bank account, Phone connection, PAN card and Credit Cards. The information will be stored in a centralized location for faster information retrieval.
People may use Aadhaar enrollment number along with gas customer ID to get subsidy under direct cash transfer scheme in LPG project. All oil companies are getting Aadhaar numbers of their customers from UIDAI to implement the project quickly.
