token amount

Q: Buying a property in Malad, Mumbai.I just wanted advise in terms of the token amount. When do we pay the token amount once the flat is finalised? Will the seller give us the original documents of the house without a token amount and if we pay the token amount and take the documents and post vetting realise the documents are not clear will the token amount be refunded? Kindly advise

Take legal help if nothing else works... After many number of legal notices and case against them, they have to pay your hard earned money..

In case of any delay then send them a letter by registered post.Explain in detail the circumstances,the commitments they made while booking flat and ask for your money back.keep original receipt with you only as proof of payment.Send xerox copy of receipt only at initial stage.

Hi Harshini, according to me if the documents are not proper or are not delivered within stipulated time, then the token amount should be given back.. However, in today's world everything is inclined towards corruption.. Even if it is your right to get back your token amount, developers will start making some excuses and delay paying/ not giving it back..
