Guys, do u know what is the plan of the Corporation.. it plans to collect Rs 60 crore for the development expenses every year in order to make the corporation self-sufficient, and for that it wants to collect tax from us.. it will be applicable from this month only I think.

The tax for residential areas has been fixed around 1 percent of 5 percent of the total unit value of that property and for commercial properties (including shops, schools, private hospitals, etc), the property tax would range between 1 to 15 percent of the total unit value. For vacant plots, property tax of around 1 to 0.25 percent of the total unit value would be applicable.
