Bangalore-based Provident Housing launched a new project and sold around 270 apartments within 10 days by reducing the size of the apartments. Also Prestige Group, which usually did only large-sized apartments between 1,300 sq ft and 1,800 sq ft, has also reduced floor sizes in Prestige Tranquility which is being developed in off Old Madras Road in Bangalore. This shows how important are the small size apartments to buyers in the new trend.
Amrapali Developers has recently launched apartments with an area of 550 sq ft, Godrej Properties has announced a project in the Dwarka-Manesar Expressway, L&T Realty launched Emerald Isle in Mumbai's lakeside Powai area, etc. Many projects in India have been launched with smaller carpet areas..
The prices of properties are really really high in prime cities, especially in Delhi and Mumbai. But there is a majority of small apartments in Mumbai and not in Delhi.. Also in Delhi the buildings are not much taller in many places.. If they make space for more units then the prices may reduce to an extent.
Hi Sandesh, if the apartmnets are big then the price is also big, if they cut the sizes, prices will auomatically reduce.. that is the new mantra of builders now..
