Hi, i have a flat in Westgate B. After endless delays they are now giving the flats for fit outs. before that they have asked me to pay all the society charges and common area maintainance charges which i am ready to pay. but in my agreement they have mentioned the maintainance charges at rs 4.75/sq ft and now they are asking me to pay @ rs 6.50/sq ft. Have other members of this building paid these charges
Hello UPS, we have not heard anything of this sort...i thought that some apartments (talking about fairfield) have already paid their 2 yrs maintenance and will start paying the new maintenance charges only from 2014..
Thanks Mr Bharat. As per agreement the new charges can be charged after 2 years from possession and on possession they were to charge full 2 years maintainance in advance @rs 4.75/sq ft. but now they ask for more and are not willing to give possession. What can be done?
you can complaint but we being in India, do you think it will sorted out soon....not very clear how this will work...maybe a lawyer or consumer forum can help
Hi, I have come across a very nice article found on this website.. You can give it a read.. Link is Popular Methods to Calculate Maintenance Fee in Apartment Complexes .. However, if you getting more harassed, you can complaint against it to a legal advisor and get relieved..
The upcoming residential projects in Mumbai and Gurgaon are setting new standards in luxury. The amenities and location reflects the price of property. It is found that owners are ready to pay high maintenance charges as it will enhance the life of building along with adding more to resale value. I heard that maintenance charges at Oberoi Sky Heights in Lokhandwala is Rs 9 per sq ft a month.
Hi.. In Mumbai and Gurgaon, many owners of premium apartments are paying more than 1 lakh as maintenance charges, because it has been increased now.. For instance, maintenance charges at The Imperial, a residential project in south Mumbai, is Rs 1.5 lakh a month for a 10,000 sq ft apartment. It is Rs 40,000 for the smallest 2,550 sq ft apartment in the same building (Rs 16 per sq ft). In Gurgaon, owners of high-end properties are paying Rs 7-10 per sq ft for apartments ranging between 4,000 and 5,000 sq ft.
