Preferred Location & Dos & Don't to buy flat in Kolkata?
Q: I am a NRI looking to buy a 3 BR flat in Kolkata. My intention is to live there after I retire(~ after 10 year), however I also want keep this as investment if I need to sell/rent if plan changes. My preferred locations are: South, EM Bypass, Rajarhat. What new good complexes I could explore those are ongoing now/coming up in future? I read lot of scam goes on real state buying process, what should I look for and careful about buying a flat? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for you responses. My price range in 50-100L. I just checked price for Active Acres, the price for 3 BR flat 1 Cr, looks little pricey. Does it make sense to make huge investments but don't live there for 10 years? Price of real state all over the world is coming down, how long the price in Kolkata continue to grow? Do you think, price of the flat at Active acre will rice to 1.5 Cr in 10 years? What is your thought on Rosedale NRI complex? Also, is it good idea to go through brokers or go directly to builder? Do you recommend renting the place if I don't live there? I plan to visit Kolkata only for 15 days. What home homework I can do to close the deal in such a short time. Thanks again for your help.
