Rapid travel in Delhi, NCR

Q: When is rapid metro expected to start???? What is the recent status of the metro.

See according to the news, Delhi-Gurgaon-Alwar stretch is 180 km long and there will be around seven lakh people who will travel everyday.

Which are the additional stations that Rapid metro will cover? May be with the second phase??

There are additional five corridors like Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabgarh- Palwal, Ghaziabad-Khurja, Delhi-Bahadurgarh-Rohtak, Ghaziabad-Hapur and Delhi-Shahadra-Baraut which will be soon added to the second phase.

According to news, the rapid metro will be operational on 2016. Hopefully, the Delhi congestion will be removed a bit and they have promised to there will be high-speed trains running at an interval of five to six minutes.

For the first phase, the rapid metro will connect Delhi with Panipat, Alwar and Meerut. And it is expected that , Delhi-Sonepat-Panipat line is 111 km long and it will see a daily ridership of nearly four lakh in 2016.
