I have also read the news online it seems Mhada has asked the state government to cancel allotment of three prime plots in Oshiwara. These plots were allotted prior to 2003 by the then chief ministers.

What is the reason MHADA wants to cancel the allotment of the plots?

Two plots were allotted to Nargis Dutt Charitable Trust and one plot was given to the Saishraddha Cooperative Housing Society. Dutt's trust was given a 10,000-sq m plot to construct a hospital and another 2,000-sq m plot for a school. They cancelled the allotment because of some payment issues.

The third plot was given to construct a residential building. Mhada has recommended cancellation of this land as the land was not developed despite repeated notices to the society.

Yes the news is confirm... MHADA has started the process of acquiring plots allotted to housing societies and charitable trusts that have not been used or developed. According to sources, it is found that its land bank was depleting since such plots were being given away.
