Here's why it's important:

If you stay in High Rise, your water bill may just get higher by almost 3 times as per the new BWSSB circular dated 13/ 06/2013. Till now the apartment dwellers were levied only “domestic” rates and all of a sudden without any notice, the apartments have been charged at “bulk” rates. The water charges are increased from Rs. 6/- to Rs. 19/- per K Littre which is exorbitant and unfair.
Again the sanitary charges are increased from Rs. 15/- to Rs. 100/- which cannot be justified.
