Q: I am finalising a property which comes under DC Conversion Panchayat Khata in Jalahalli West, Bangalore . I understand that some of the Sub Registrar Offices are registering the property which is under DC conversion from Gramathana. Please clarify me . 1. Whether there is any Restriction by Government of Karnataka on Registration of DC Converted Sites/Houses. 2. Whether B-Khata Extract sites are being registered currently by Government of Karnataka? 3. If some of the sub registrar are doing registration, can i get the property registered with that sub-registrar office. 3. If Government has put hold on registration and some sub registrar offices are doing registration of property will there be any problems in future wherein Government can declare that property registered during this period are not valid since they had restriction .
It think government has allowed sale and registration of buildings with ‘B’ khata certificates in Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits.
As far as I know DC converted land requires approvals from town planning authority like BIAPPA, BDA, BMRDA etc to ensure that proper space has been allocated for roads and other amenities as per government rules. Now-a-days DC does not give the conversion order without their approvals.
