Q: I BOUGHT FLAT FROM BUILDER.HE HAS COLLECTED SERVICE TAX AND VAT.BUT HE DIDNT PROVIDE INVOICE FOR THE FLAT WHICH WE HAVE PURCHASE.WE HAVE RECEIVED ONLY RECEIPT FOR THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE FLAT.WHAT LEGAL ACTION WE CAN TAKE TOWARDS BUILDER FOR NOT PROVIDING INVOICE FOR THE FLAT PURCHASED.REQUESTING YOUR GUIDANCE TO PROCEED FURTHER.

Already we have approached several times through phone & mails.But they didnt listen our issues regards to service tax.Finally they have started to threat us like a rowdies.i came to the forum due to the worst response of the builder & also he didnt completed the common area work which he has promised while purchasing the flat.

I think first you need to have a word with builder, it is better if things will sort out in good way other wise definitely you can take legal action.

Hey Vijay, since you have paid service tax and VAT you should get invoice. I think you should ask the builder directly to provide you invoice else you can hire a good lawyer and send a notice against the builder.
