Hi I want to register my lease deed (lease agreement for 3 year) what are the charges for that . what will be the impect if I register it for 1 year only....

If any ready to move flat is registered with primary owner as female (wife) and coowner male (husband), will there be waiver of 1% registration charges?

Hi All,
In Ahmedabad stamp duty is charged at 4.9% and registration charges 1% of the market price of the property or the transaction value, whichever is higher. Currently female property owners are exempt from the registration fees of 1%. This offer of registration fees for females is aimed at empowering women and motivating families to register properties in the name of female family members.

And apart from these charges, an additional service tax of 3.50% also has to be paid for under construction properties worth less than Rs.1 crore and 4.2% for properties worth more than Rs.1 crore.

what is the penality for delay in payment of stamp duties?

If stamp duty is not paid on time, it attracts penalty at the rate of 2 % per month on the deficit amount of the stamp duty. However maximum penalty can be only 200% of the deficit amount of the stamp duty.

Hello Jyothi, the revised stamp duty and registration charges for 2014 in Gujarat is as follows :
Stamp Duty : 3.50%
Registration charges: 1.05%

The Registration and Stamp Duty is calculated on the total price plus Car Park, Club House, Electirc Deposit Charge, etc.
