Poor service by builder and delayed construction. Unreliable, how to deal with it ?

Q: Prestige residency thane

We had booked the flat in thane in 2010. Where it was promised that possesion will be by 2012 April.

When agreement was made possession date was changed to Oct 2012.

Then they extended and said March 2013.

Today it is May 2014 and still they have not handed over the possession. Work is in last stages but it is going slow and they are just relaxed and not at all worried about poor buyers. They always blame authorities.

They also never respond to our emails. This is pathetic builder and don't buy any property sold by this builder.

Well Rakshit,
It is a G+15 storeys apartments consists 10 blocks. It is a CIDCO approved project and almost all the leading financial institutions and centralize banks are offering loan for this projects. It is a ready to move project. 1st phase of construction has been completed successfully. Possession handed over in 17 buildings to over 500 happy families. Commercial spaces construction complete and handed over for regular conveniences to the residents.

As per the locality point of view Ghodbunder is the upcoming area with excellent infrastructure and new development. It is one of the best localities of the Mumbai city. This project has walking distance from essential services such as schools, colleges, hospitals and banks are in the vicinity. Hi Manish,
Prestige residency thane is a ready to move project. Its construction work has been completed. It is better for you to talk to the developer regarding possession. You can also ask for the compensation because there is a provision for buyers if there is a delay in possession. Consult a good lawyer but before that check your agreement whether the compensation on delay is mention or not.
