Q: The real estate in Hyderabad is one of the best in the country, and I’m planning to invest in it. What are the latest developments in the Hyderabad real estate sector and how will they be affecting future developments?
I agree with you,Govind. Hyderabad real estate offers some of the best properties that you can lay your hands on in India. However, in recent times, the real estate sector in the city has taken a nasty beating from its political cousin. But even in such turbulent times, the foundation stone was laid for a new Animation and Gaming park that soon going to be developed in Hyderabad. This park is to be located over an expanse of over 30 acres, and is part of the ambitious Information Technology Investment Region. The future development in at least this part of town, namely Rayadurg, is going to be steady as per my knowledge.
Real estate was and always will one of the most common ways of investing one’s money. But you need to do it wisely, and if you need to do it in Hyderabad, maybe now is the best time. Is say this because, according to recent property trends, the real estate sector is still in the process of restabilising. The prices in many localities in Hyderabad such as Gachibowli and Madhapur were higher a year back than what they are now. They’ve picked up their pace, but it’ll still take some time for property prices to regain their original glory. You won’t be making a killing if you invest now, but you definitely will have a good chance of making a marginal short-term profit.
Like they say politicians and businessmen are just the same kind of people operating in two different areas of life. True to this edict, the real estate sector in Hyderabad was lying dormant prior to the formation of a new state. As you may already know, an agitation was carried out for the division of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Seemandhra. In the resulting political turmoil, business was affected to a large degree. The real estate sector, in particular, was affected the most simply because a number of politicians in Andhra Pradesh owned construction companies with large stretches of property in Hyderabad.
