Details about Edappally for a good residential locality

Q: I have decided to move to Kochi for a certain duration of time. I intend to stay at a premium residence in an upscale locality. The people in my company have recommended Edappaly. I need more inputs to make a decision.

For transportation and connectivity, this area is quite good, you know. You can easily get buses from Kangarapady Bus Stop in Edapally to Marine Drive. I think it will take around one hour to reach here. There is high traffic sometimes in this area. Depending on the traffic only you can decide the time though.

You surely can get a premium residence in an upscale neighbourhood if Edappally is your choice. This locality has gained much prominence in recent times, and is in close proximity to both the industrial and IT hubs of Kochi. The property prices in this area are of course relatively higher than other surrounding localities. Residential apartments are available along with independent houses in Edappally. I don’t know if you want to buy or rent a place. But I can tell that the price per square feet is usually anywhere between Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 4,500 for buying a flat. The rental prices, on the other hand, come up to around Rs. 10 to Rs. 15 per square feet of space. A typical 3 BHK in Edappally will cost you around Rs. 20,000 per month to rent it out.

Edapally can be quite a breeze if one is able to afford it, and since you seem like a person who can, I’ll tell you all that I know about the place. This place has a rich history actually. Kings used to rule Edappally back in the day, and a Brahmin priest became the founder of the Edappally dynasty. The St. George’s Church in Edappally is a famous religious place of worship located in Edappally. When it comes to people, some of the most prominent individuals in Kerala have decided to make this locality their own. If you’re a person with a family, then you will be happy to know that this locality offers much in terms of educational institutions of all sorts.

Hello there! Looking at your no-nonsense tone of writing, I can tell that you mean business. I know some about Edappally from the couple of years I’ve lived there myself. I’ve shifted however, and currently live in Kasol. I like the air up here in the mountains much better. But hey, getting back to Edappally, it definitely is one of the most developed localities in Kochi. From what I’ve last heard of it from friends, it’s slowly emerging as an important junction in the whole state of Kerala itself. When it comes to convenience, you don’t have to think twice about this locality. In this locality, you’ll be living in close proximity to shopping malls, super-specialty hospitals, and parks.
