The 2 BHK flats in Sakthi Summit is a space of 1400 sq ft and the 3BHK flats 1815 sq ft whereas the 2 BHK in Sakthi Rama Towers is a space of 1200-1400 sq ft and the 3 BHK there is like 1500-1600 sq ft. Latest Answer: Oh these Royal Skyline people also have 4 BHK option. They are giving a 1885 sqft area for a 4 BHk and charging about 75 lacs, which is decent for a 4 BHK price. But, if you look at other unit types, Saffron buds will look like a better option because the apartments are bigger in area there. Especially if you look at 3 bhk units, Royal skyline people are selling apartments of area 1619-1874 for around 65-75 lacs, which is way higher than what Saffron Bud is offering for. Honestly amenities wise, Skyline has nothing extraordinary either, the usual stuff like Saffron buds only. So, i’d say personally go visit and then you will be able to compare better.

That shouldn’t be too difficult, because I’ve even heard news that a certain landowner here has even agreed to gift his land to the corporation without any compensation. I agree with all those civic activists who are saying that the corporation should get started with building the scheme roads on whatever land they are able to acquire.

Latest Answer: While I totally agree that it is wrongful encroachment on the part of the settlers to take up land that has been reserved by the corporation, it is also quite sad that the body has onky been able to claim back 15 out of the 480 + plots. Mostly the corporation has demolished existing encroachments to reclaim the land, such as the swimmimg pool of the Mint Homes property. Alternatively, the corporation has introduced a proposal to gather all residential welfare associations and voluntary organizations to help develop reserve sites into parks. Of course after the meetings, the idea remained just that - an idea on paper.

Latest Answer: So the proposed plan for the Ukkadam Periyakulam project was to beautify areas around water bodies and build a walkway and a seperate 2 wheeler lane but it's costing about 4.95 crores. So the latest is that if they get the funding for this then they will immediadety start work.But seriously that is just horrible is it happens because, the lakes ecosystem is at stake! the vehicles travelling in such close proximity to the water body will completely damage it. And I find it weird that a city that spends so much on rain water harvesting doesn't spend spending a lot on a project that harms an entire water body. Real estate will fall for sure in all these localities around the lake, especially once the lake is polluted.

I have visited the MayFair project, and I must say I was a little worried about the reliability of the project in the beginning because of a delay in the launch date, but seeing the construction first hand, I think it is a great project to invest in. I was impressed by the number of amenities provided here, and another good thing is that the builder has agreed to transfer legal rights of the clubhouse and other common assets to the residents association, which often comes out as a problem later on in such projects. The project has home loan approvals from HDFC and SBI, and has been open for possession since December 2011.

In the past there have been several delays regarding this project. Initially it was supposed to have started in 2011. But at that time the whole project went under the drawing board again to start over with the designing process. Though initially planned as a 3-tier flyover, there were some talks in between of going for a 2-tier one instead. But they finalised the 3-tier plan last October and were supposed to start with the construction by January.
