Q: I’m relocating from Vijayawada to Hyderabad with my family for a year or two. We’re thinking about renting an apartment in Nampally, since my office lies in that area itself. I’m keeping my options open, so I need more solid information about this locality.
These uneven road levels is what causes water logging as it does not go into the drain pipes. Because of this, many times it has even entered residential apartment complexes. Also, dingy lanes, congested main roads, potholed passages, lack of streetlights and irregular water supply are the other problems in this area.
There is some existing problems in Nampally to be honest. Firstly the road I take to work for the past 5 years has been the same. Nothing has been done about the potholes in the locality So many accidents have happened here. Traffic junctions are poorly manned especially in Bazarghat.
Nampally literally means a wet and moist place. This was because when the Nizam built the Nampally Railway Station, it was a wet and moist place. Nam means wet or moist while pally translates to place. I don’t know if can get many apartments over there for rent, because it’s densely populated. From what I hear, property prices are going steady in Nampally as well as other parts of the city after the recent State elections. I know for a fact that you can buy some apartments, because one of my neighbours had in recent times. I expect the rent will be a maximum of Rs. 10 per square feet.
Hi! It’s good to know that you’ve chosen Hyderabad as your city of residence. Let me tell you from firsthand experience that the people over here are very friendly. I can tell you this because I’ve been living here for the last 10 years. Nampally actually lies quite far away from I live, which is Uppal. Did you know that the Nampally Railway Station was originally built by the last Nizam of Hyderabad? It still exists till today. You can find apartments for rent quite easily in Nampally, but they may be located far away from the main road. I live in 2 BHK, so I wager that the same would cost you around 10 to 12 thousand rupees per month in Nampally.
Hey there! Nampally is an old locality in Hyderabad that is connected by road as well as rail to all other parts of the city. Due to the fact that it has been established since a long time, I doubt that you’d find any completely new apartments to rent out. It’s a very busy locality that has a number of commercial establishments spread all over. The neighbours of this locality include Koti, Abids, Mallepally, and Afzal Gunj. You may already be knowing that Koti and Abids are some of the oldest and most busy, commercial areas in Hyderabad. The Nampally Railway Station is perhaps the most famous landmark in this locality.
