Q: Hey! Is there a dearth of civic facilities in Nampally? What's the latest on the new privilege card for the residents? Please give me any information as I might be moving there.
This is pretty cool because it was devised by a group of young graduates. This card is super useful especially in an area like Nampally because there are n number of civic issues here. Even water supply is scarce in this locality. With this card various civic issues from all over the city can be looked into because each place has different problems. I think Nampally is a great place with a lot of scope for investment. However, I hate motocycling here because it is a nightmarish experience and the roads are abyssmal.
The residents of Nampally are now the proud owners of Nampally Constituency Privilege Card. It's a first of its kind initiative which aims at connecting Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLA Jafar Hussain Meraj with each house having this card to address and solve their issues. Each house got one card and around 11,700 residents already have this card. Queries will be answered by MLA representatives and updates will be sent about this issue.
There is a big problem in the road laying of the area and the work must be redone because uneven road levels is what causes water logging as it does not go into the drain pipes. Because of this, many times it has even entered residential apartment complexes. Water logging and stagnation is especially a huge problem for the area of Gudimalkpaur. Dingy lanes, congested main roads, potholed passages, lack of streetlights and irregular water supply are the key issues in this area. Even safety is a concern here as Nampally has lost its glamour due to the admistrative inefficency.
Nampally faces a ton of civic issues. Firstly the road I take to work for the past 5 years has been the same. Nothing has been done about the potholes and road inundations in the locality and many near death accidents take place on this stretch. Traffic junctions are poorly manned especially in Bazarghat, and residents wish to see some change. Some improvements. But it really doesn't seem as though anybody is working towards that, although some of the residents have protested and that's why they got the privilege card.
