Q: Hello. I have to shift to Patancheru area in Hyderabad for working reason ,but ive heard so much bad news about it. Is it true that the industrialization of the locality is leading to contamination and toxicity in the area? What are your experiences?
Yes it is true that the toxicity and contamination issue in Patancheru has reached its heights, and according to latest findings the inhabitants are also relocating as fast as they can. the others are still suffering, and there is no scope for real estate either as customers are uncertain about investing in properties also. With that they are left with completely useless land, cant grow crops or sell. In terms of water pollution, the highest level of drug wastes was found in the waters of Patancheru of about 21 various kinds of drugs. This is coming from more than 90 pharmaceutical manufacturing industries in the area who dump everything into the water.
I agree with you sir, but It is not just the air and water that is contaminated in Patancheru’s closest areas, whereas there are effects on the village’s economy also. As a result of toxic substances being disposed off carelessly, the lands in the area are dangerously unfit for agriculture. It is about 2 acrs of land which is going completely to waste because growing of any kinds of crops is impossible. The village folk and others are thereby forced to get odd jobs in the Bollaram area’s many industries, getting more and more exposed to the toxicity.
Hello. Apart from what has been mentioned above, there is also the contamination of air, soil and water because of improper disposal of deadly chemicals like copper, mercury and lead metals. The closest village to be affected is Sultanpur, and here the inhabitants are fully exposed to unfreindly chemicals of the environment and toxicity and are thus very ill. In fact, the toxicity has entered their system so badly that the latest news was saying toxic chemicals were found in mother’s milk also. The poisonous air and contaminated water is solely to blame for these consequences
Hi, from what I know about the area of Patancheru there has been great industrialization here from years and it had affected mostly the villages surrounding it. Patancheru is home to more tha n 300 industries and because of this it has posed a threat ecologically because of the disposal of liquid, solid and also gas waste products. In fact this environmental damage has been prevalent for many years now. Actually in the beginnign Patancheru was just a barren suburb but industrialization changed its whole landscape. The biggest reason for this problem is actually bad disposal mechanism of all toxic wastes leading to toxicity.
