Q: Hello, I am planning to move to Patancheru area in Hyderabad soon, but am hearing about lot of problems. What is the issue with water supply around the area and how serious is it
Hi, in addition to what all has been mentioned it is important to note that Patancheru locality doesnt come under the most affected areas which is mostly peripheral GHMC circle like Malkagiri. Here there is massive power cuts and water is suppled on alternate days reaching more than 5 to 6 hours late to residents. This is effecting everyone’s daily rountine as well as office lifestyle, as people who used to get water at 5am are now getting at 11am. Apart from Patancheru, Kukatpally, Alwal and Serilingapally are also under misery.
Hello, I agree with all the above inputs and to provide you my own I would say that the Water Board is currently only supplying water for one hour in the whole city of Hyderabad. This means that some areas may not even get water for a couple or more days. As the powercuts got more unscheduled and unpredictable, they have further reduced the supply to just 45 minutes. This is making problems worse and worse. The only areas to be reciveing water currently are Manjira phases 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Krishna phase 1, 2. Everyone else in old city have to get help from Humayathsagar and Osmansagar reservoirs.
Hi. yes it is true the power shutdown has been between two states and it is leading to erratic supply of the water in many areas of Hyderabad including Patancheru region. The problem is either very low supply of water or none at all. Everyone is angry about it and many complaints have been sent to the water board about the lack and low pressure of water supply. The board has only submitted a detailed reports on the cuts but not done anything in actuality to address the problem yet. For now, everyone is just frustrated with this problem as it is effecting daily lives.
Hi frien, sadly it is true what you are heard about the water supply problems in Patancheru. Am living here for six months and the water supply to residents of greater hyderabad has been delayed from the last few days. In latest new it is claimed that this is because of the unscheduled power cuts that have been set by the TSCPDCL which stands for Telangana State Central Power Distribution company limited. There are more than eight lakh consumers of water here and the Hyderabad metropolitan water supply and swerage board has been supplying water either alternative days or even once in three days.
