Q: Are there good civic facilities in Santosh nagar? I'm thinking about buying an apartment there but want to know whether this locality is worth it! Any info would help. Thanks! :)
Hey I know that Santosh nagar was one of the localities where many residents suddenly got malaria. I think it was because of many open drains in the area that attracted a number of mosquitoes. So the hud civic authorities had to take care of getting rid off all these mosquitoes in places like Kurrar Village, Santosh Nagar and Malvani. Gutters, low lying areas and slums are all being fumigated right now to prevent the spread of these diseases. Now that rainy season is there, everybody should be extra careful about these things.
Hey there! So different structures decorate the colony such as apartment buildings, duplex houses, ground plus three structures make up the residential space. The locality has many number of shops that cater the local population. Once on to the main road, there are a lot of supermarkets and banks. Transportation is no major issue. And the residents haven't really complained too much about many complaints in the area, so I'm sure civic issues are minimal.
I love this locality! It is closer to old city but still is very nice and quiet. There aren't too many young people here and there are more number of senior citizens staying in 2 or 3 bhp apartments. The locals are very happy with Santosh nagar. They're proud of the fact that there's been no communal riot here since when it initially started to get inhabited, in 1970. Even the welfare association is made up of people from all different communities. Any civic issue in the neighbourhood is easily solved by this association. There are definitely better areas in Hyd to invest in that will bring you better returns but nothing will be as peaceful as this locality! :)
